Who Ant-Man Really Is In The Superhero Universe

Does this look like the kind of guy who would have a hard time with Antman?

ant man is a joke of a superhero
Recently I saw a trailer for the new Ant-Man movie.
Now I am hoping by saying that comment you are thinking one of two things.
Either, “Who the heck is Ant-Man?”
Or “You have to be kidding me.”
Both trains of thought are expected because of who Ant-Man is in the superhero universe.
Marvel won’t admit it, but Ant-Man is a loser compared to other superheroes.
He is the guy you call when Batman can’t show up.
“Oh no, I am in trouble who will I call?
I know! I’ll call Ant-Man!”
Said no one ever.
And if he ever got into a fight with Superman or Batman, they laughed at him.
The battle would be over in a second.
The confrontation wouldn’t even be considered a real battle.
Batman or Superman would be on their way to fighting the actual villain and Ant-Man may get in their way, so they’d have to knock him out and then continue on their way.
“Hey Bat’s, what was that?” Superman will say to Batman.
“I don’t know. I think that may have been a superhero.”
“A superhero named after an ant? Are you kidding me?”
“I am not going to say anything about that.”
I bring up my viewpoint on Ant-Man because Marvel will present him as a big dog in the superhero universe.
As if any superhero fan has Ant-Man as a favorite.
But that is so far from the case that it makes me laugh.
Don’t be deceived and believe that Ant-Man is a legitimate superhero.
He isn’t.
His name is Ant-Man for Christ’s sake.
How serious of a superhero can he be?
