Upcoming Movies This Week: Gods Of Egypt, Eddie The Eagle

Here is the list of movies that are being released this week, along with there imbd synopsis’s

Gods Of Egypt – Mortal hero Bek teams with the god Horus in an alliance against Set, the merciless god of darkness who has usurped Egypt’s throne, plunging the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict.

I feel like there is an Illuminati joke here but i just can’t come up with it. Yeah go to a conspiracy site and they will tell you that this movie is all about the NWO. PLus it looks awful. Just a generic action movie.
Eddie The Eagle – The story of Eddie Edwards, the notoriously tenacious British underdog ski jumper who charmed the world at the 1988 Winter Olympics.

I want to like this movie. I like High Jackman as an actor. But I have seen this plot before. The kid struggles his whole life, has to prove to everyone he can do it and then at the end he does. Play the Rocky music.

Triple 9 – A gang of criminals and corrupt cops plan the murder of a police officer in order to pull off their biggest heist yet across town.

Eh. I don’t want to see this one. The trailer gives me nothing. Maybe if it is acclaimed I will see it on Netflix, but right now I have to pass.
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: sword Of Destiny – A story of lost love, young love, a legendary sword and one last opportunity at redemption.

Wait a minute, you mean like the Crouching Tiger movie franchise that came out like fifteen years ago? Holy crap! I didn’t even know they made more of these. If you are into this kind of action then I am sure that you would like this movie.
Tere Bin Laden Dead Or Alive – A Bollywood director is hired by an American talent agent to make a film on Osama bin Laden. The plan to use an Osama doppelganger in order to prove his death boomerangs when a Taliban arms dealer hijacks their idea to prove he’s alive.

Humor with terrorism. Hope it doesn’t blow (up) Pun intended. This won’t get any playtime in America. Obviously.
The Last Man On The Man – When Apollo astronaut Gene Cernan stepped off the moon in December 1972 he left his footprints and his daughter’s initials in the lunar dust. Only now is he ready to share his epic but deeply personal story of fulfillment, love, and loss.

I wonder if he is going to talk about aliens in this movie. Or just why we haven’t gone back to the moon in forever. Scientists will like this one. I think. I don’t know for certain. I am not actually a scientist. Hard to believe, I know.

The Verdict:
I am not going to see any of these movies.
Unless one of them gets high praise from critics, real critics, then I am passing on all of these.
Even then I may just wait for Netflix or to DVR it.
This is a bad weekend for movies.
